    Wedding Packages - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I get married at Fisher’s? 

Yes, We have numerous options for ceremonies here including THREE ceremony rooms.

  • Can I get married any day of the week?

We welcome wedding ceremonies and Receptions Tuesday through Sunday.

  • When can I come and see the facility?

Prospective wedding couples are welcome to visit our facility at any time, however it is advisable to call first and make an appointment with the Wedding coordinator.

  • Are you a full-time Banquet Facility? 

Yes, Tuesday through Sunday, Luncheons & Dinners (closed Mondays).

  • What do you do the rest of the week?

There is a full service restaurant, and we handle many other kinds of Banquets and functions during the week such as Rehearsal dinners, including Baby and Bridal Shower on Sundays.

  • What kind of experience, background, and education do you have? 

Some of us (Management) have attending Colleges and Universities in the area for Business training. Some of us have attending various schools such as the Culinary Institute of America and the Restaurant School. All of us have extensive experience in catering (over 100 years total).

  • Have you received any formal classroom training as a caterer/chef? 

The Chef and one of the Owners both trained at Culinary schools.

  • How long have you been a caterer, and how many events have you catered?

We have been at this location since 1975 and the conservative estimate is over 15,000 functions.

  • Have you handled events of my type and size before?

Yes, we create Receptions for about 400 Happy Brides every year.

  • Why did you choose catering as a career? 

Because we like people and food. We enjoy pleasing people. There is something very satisfying in a creative way for a caterer. It’s not just about making meals. We are creating a Memory for someone. Most, almost all, of the functions we do have a connection to a momentous event in the lives of the people whose function it is. 

  • What makes you better or different than another caterer?

We own this business, we work this business ourselves. Sometimes it is just about pride and
creating something.

  • What are the reasons you think we should hire you?

We provide personal care. Our management and staff are a cut above everyone else in the area (check our testimonials).

  • Do you have all the necessary licenses and health permits?

Yes, Pennsylvania State Liquor License, License from the Bucks County Department of Health, and there are three members of management with ServSafe Certification ( the law requires two). 

  • Are you properly insured?

Yes, we are fully covered by a AAA rated Insurance company. 

  • Do you provide tasting consultations/food tastings? 

Of course, we are proud of our cuisine and are pleased to share it. Our Wedding Coordinator will be happy to arrange it for you.

  • Is there a fee for such tastings? 
    No, we are happy to help you select your meal.
  • Can the menus accommodate any special dietary needs?

Yes we should be able to accommodate most special dietary requirements you or your guests may have, please speak to the wedding coordinator.

  • Hours of service:

Tuesday through Sunday 11 am until 9 pm (Closed on Monday). 

  • What is the staff to guest ratio?  

1 professional server for each 15 guests.

  • What is the staff dress code? Formal or casual?

Professionally attired in black slacks, Black vest, white tuxedo shirt with Black Bowtie.

  • If buffet style is offered, are servers provided or will it be self-serve?  

Servers are provided where needed. Of course the Bride & Groom will be served if they wish to be.

  • Do you have a liquor license? 

We are Licensed by the State of Pennsylvania to serve alcohol.

  • Is there an extra charge for bartenders? If so, how much?

No it is included in the packages.

  • Who is supplying the liquor, water, ice, etc.?

We supply all Liquor, wine, beer, juices, soda, mixers, glasses, and ice.

  • Do you provide cake cutting/serving service? Is it part of the basic package?  

Yes, both are part of the package. 

  • Do you provide the wedding cake, or should I hire an outside baker?  

It is provided with our Wedding Packages.

  • Is the champagne toasting service included or is that an extra charge? 

Available for the Celebration Package, Included for the Head Table with Deluxe Package, included for everyone in the Elite Package.

  • When is the final headcount due?  

10 days prior to your Reception.

  • Does the headcount include wedding professionals at the event (photographers, DJs, etc.)?  

No, they are fed if you choose to do so, separately. 

  • Are there special prices for feeding our DJ, band, photographer & other wedding professionals? 

Yes a nominal fee is charged. It is customary to feed the photographer since he or she is with you all day.

  • Are there special prices for children? 

Yes, give the kids food that they want to eat.

  • Is a deposit required? If so, how much?

Yes, $1000.00

  • When is the deposit due? 

When the room is Booked.

  • Do you give discounts for off-season weddings?

You may be eligible for exceptional pricing for off peak months and off peak days, depending on the Package. Off-peak is January, February, March, July, August. Also Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

  • May I make partial payments?  

Yes

  • When is the final payment due?  

10 days prior to your function.

  • Is gratuity included in the price?  

Yes, it is included in the price of your package.

  • What percentage are the taxes?  

6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax. Already included in the price of your package.

  • What is the overtime charge? 

It Varies, please speak to your Fisher’s Wedding Coordinator.

  • Is the set-up and clean-up included in the final price?

Yes

  • Do you provide linens, tables, chairs, china, glassware, silverware, serving accessories, etc.?

Yes, whatever is needed to serve the food is supplied by us.

  • Do you provide a written contract and guarantee?  

Yes

  • What is your leftover policy?  

On a sit down function, any remaining entrees can be requested to be packed to be taken home. With a Buffet, we always prepare food in excess of the quantity ordered, so there are no leftovers.

  • Can I bring in my own caterer or food?

In order to comply with Bucks County Health Department regulations and being responsible for food safety, we must control all food prepared for functions held at Fisher’s Tudor House, so unfortunately you cannot bring in your own. 

  • What if the wedding is cancelled or postponed?

In the unfortunate event that your special day needs to be changed we need to notified immediately. When we receive notification in writing and we are authorized, we will employ our best efforts to re-sell the date. If we are able to book the room with a function of equal or greater value, we will return your deposit. If we cannot rebook the room, your deposit can be used toward another Reception or function of equal value with an additional deposit.
